Doing More

We will increase the impact of your action by dedicating two hours of volunteering per action by our employees worldwide

Using less

Are you already a part of the movement?
You can keep making small changes to your daily lives to make a big impact and help the planet. Here are some easy examples
to try out:

Hop on a bike

Cycling produces less than a tenth of the carbon dioxide emissions produced while driving

Choose local food

Any type of transportation uses fuel which increases carbon dioxide emissions

Recycle

It can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions as manufacturing products from recycled materials requires less energy than making products from new materials

Sun dry clothes

Air-drying clothes is better for the environment as it requires less energy and helps to protect the environment by saving precious fossil fuels

Doing More

This is the time for #DoingMore! For every #UsingLess act Netafim will increase the impact by volunteering two hours around the world. Netafim is committed to the UN SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) year-round. This Earth Day, we have chosen 4 SDGs to focus on. Netafim employees worldwide will volunteer with and for their communities to advance these specific SDGs.

We ensure a safe and reliable food supply while increasing the productivity of agricultural land through knowledge transfer, technology adoption and support for farms of all sizes.

Here are a few examples of volunteering to support this SDG:

  • Accompanying families, refugees, and people experiencing homelessness, and planting food gardens for populations suffering from malnutrition.
  • Distributing food parcels to communities in need.
  • Picking fruits and vegetables; many farms have excess fruits and vegetables that can be donated to soup kitchens and other organizations.

We strengthen the adaptive capacity of farmers to mitigate the effect of climate-related and natural disasters globally, through innovative solutions that reduce GHG emissions and reduce the risks associated with droughts.

Here are a few examples of volunteering to support this SDG:

  • Environmental activities to create a positive impact on the environment such as tree planting or beach/park cleaning
  • Sustainable education sessions for students.
  • Recycling activity.
  • School activities (Terrarium, My first irrigation, green wall).

Along with our parent company Orbia, we are committed to increasing the number of women in management roles globally.

Here are a few examples of volunteering to support this SDG:

  • W2W- Netafim women employees meet with women from a minority group to strengthen their confidence, verbal ability and job security.
  • Volunteering activity to empower women farmers.
  • Establishment of gardens in dormitories and shelters for women victims of domestic violence.
  • Mentoring for young women (students and school girls).

We build resiliency through increased green and public spaces while minimizing the overall environmental impact of cities, through efficient irrigation and water management

Here are a few examples of volunteering to support this SDG:

  • Infrastructure activities building or improving infrastructure such as creating green walls with children at their school and planting vegetable gardens.
  • The climate forest- creating green lungs in the cities.
  • Eco-friendly activities with the community: roof gardens and green walls to address city challenges.
